At the observatory, extensive maintenance work is being carried out on the telescopes and instruments. As you can see in the picture, the environmental conditions at an altitude of almost 2500m are not always easy, even ice and snow sometimes occur at this time of year. The accessibility of the observatory is then severely limited, but some of the technicians and scientists can spend the night up there and continue the necessary work.
