The group Technical Services with its three teams

• Mechanical Workshop/Engineering,
• Electronics-Laboratory, and
• Facility Management Team

ensures the operation, the continuous improvement of existing as well as the development of new telescopes and scientific instrumentation and the safe and reliable operation of the Institute's properties including the technical and scientific facilities. In addition, the working group provides vocational training for future precision mechanics and electronics technicians for devices and systems.
