KIS signed Diversity Charter

In May 2023, the Board of Directors of KIS signed the Diversity Charter as a visible commitment to a respectful and unbiased working environment.

The Diversity Charter is an initiative under the patronage of Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz aimed at promoting diversity in companies and institutions.

By signing the Diversity Charter, KIS sends a clear signal for diversity and tolerance in the world and signals that it appreciates all employees regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and belief, sexual orientation and social origin.

In an ever-changing world of work, all companies and employers need to adapt to social and economic changes such as globalisation, demographic change and declining employment. By signing the Charter for Diversity, KIS makes a clear statement to its staff, partners and all those interested in the Institute and its work.

Diversity management is a cross-cutting issue. The idea behind it is to jointly develop an organisational culture in which diversity is lived as a matter of course, so that all employees contribute their potential in the best possible way. This open and diverse culture also promotes the wealth of ideas in all areas of research and work at the Institute.

The Diversity Charter has been signed by almost 5,000 institutions and companies in Germany with a total of almost 15 million employees.

The certificate is available here for further reading. For more information on the Charta der Vielfalt e. V. association, please visit:
