Responsibility in action: KIS receives honours award for family-friendly policies

Once again, KIS has been awarded the berufundfamily certificate. The honours certificate is given in special recognition of long-term, sustainable family and life-phase-conscious HR policies. It is considered to vouch for the quality of KIS’ strategic policies to enhance the work-life balance of its employees.

Previously, KIS had successfully completed a dialogue procedure available to employers that have been using the audit for nine years or more to pursue sustainable family and life-phase-conscious policies. In 2014, KIS received the award for the first time. Several re-audits were then followed by the dialogue procedure. The dialogue procedure is aimed at maintaining the high level of development of family-friendly and life-phase-conscious HR policies and at exploiting the potential for optimisation in some areas. The dialogue procedure will be repeated three years from now in order to assure quality.

On 18 June 2024, the certificate will be officially awarded in Berlin by Lisa Paus, member of the German Bundestag and federal minister of family affairs, and Oliver Schmitz, managing director of berufundfamilie Service GmbH.

This year, KIS is one of 306 organisations - 119 companies, 151 institutions and 36 universities - receiving the award.
