Level 2 data products for the Chromospheric Telescope (ChroTel)

We have integrated Level 2 data products for the Chromospheric Telescope (ChroTel) into the SDC data archive, including: Intensity-corrected filtergrams (Ca II K, Hα, and He I 1083.0 nm), Filament segmentations for Hα filtergrams, and Doppler velocity maps for He I 1083.0 nm filtergrams.

We have integrated Level 2 data products for the Chromospheric Telescope (ChroTel) into the SDC data archive, including:

  1. Intensity-corrected filtergrams (Ca II K, Hα, and He I 1083.0 nm)
  2. Filament segmentations for Hα filtergrams
  3. Doppler velocity maps for He I 1083.0 nm filtergrams.

Level 2 data are available for the best image in each wavelength per day, provided in Solarnet-compliant FITS file format and as quicklook images.

The intensity-corrected data are generated by modeling intensity variations in the filtergrams using Zernike polynomials. Filaments in Hα filtergrams are segmented with a universal semi-supervised deep learning method. Further details are available in Caligari et al.
