PhD studies at the KIS

The Kiepenheuer-Institut für Sonnenphysik (KIS) in Freiburg i.Br. supervises PhD studies in astrophysics.

The candidat should fulfil the requirements of the promotion regulations in physics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (external website).

In the application, copies of school and diploma certificates should be included. 

Usually PhD students get a salary following the regulations in the public sector of German employments.

The Kiepenheuer-Institut für Sonnenphysik wants to increase its proportion of women working in science and suggests especially women to apply.
