Science Advisory Committee

The Science Advisory Committee provides advice to the Foundation Council and the Directorate on fundamental issues concerning the research and technical programmes of the Kiepenheuer - Institut. The Committee assesses the research and service performance and reports to the Foundation Council. The Committee advises in matters of appointment to the directorate.

The Science Advisory Committee consists of six to eight members who are appointed for four year terms. The members are respected, high ranking scientists from germany and abroad.

The Science Advisory Committee meets regularly once per year. Representatives of the funding minitries attend the meetings as guests.
